[ Monika hold her quietly, letting the girl cry into her shoulder. Normally she's very bad at this kind of thing... but for some reason it comes easier with Mira. But then again, she hasn't cared about someone this much other than herself or the literature club before.
That's... kind of odd to think about. Why is that? ]
[ It's a comfort, she realizes. To have someone hold her like this. It surprises her, though, being this physically close to someone like this. In the back of her mind, she thinks maybe she shouldn't let herself get close. Who knows what will happen in the future--that paranoia, trying to claw its way to the surface.
But... but with Monika, she finds she can tamp those feelings down.
For a while, she cries, her arms eventually coming around Monika to hold on tight. She buries her face against Monika's shoulder. And when she pulls away a little, she wipes her eyes, sniffling. ]
[ It hurts to see her like this, but at least she can be here for Mira. Genuinely here. Never in her life did she think she could do this for someone she's come to care for so much.
[ She sniffles again, wiping at her eyes. Honestly, she's still letting a few fall, mostly because... She wasn't kidding when she said she wasn't sure if she'd be able to stop. ]
